Advantages and Types of Electronic Pest Devices
No matter how sanitary your community is, there will always be pests to wreck havoc to your property, the economy, and the ecology. Furthermore, rats, rodents, mosquitoes, and flies are all unsightly and are carriers of infectious diseases.
To get rid of them, people typically use poison. But this is hazardous since they are fatal if ingested by human beings. So how can you get rid of pests without endangering yourself or your household? The answer may lie in the unassuming form of electronic pest devices. Coming in different shapes, sizes, and capabilities, the devices can repel pesky creatures safely and quickly. While these gadgets have been around for several years, it is only recently that they became popular.
There are three types of electronic pest-repelling devices available in the market. The first are called ultrasonic devices. They produce sound waves that have high frequencies, usually at 20,000 gigahertz, and short wavelengths. Too high for human ears to hear, the frequencies are audible to insects and rodents, which frighten away these pests. These devices are typically placed near entrance and exit points of the pest's lair. That is because the waves cannot pass through solid objects such as walls and doors.
The second type uses electromagnetic devices that alter the electromagnetic field of a structure. Pests sensitive to electromagnetic waves avoid that area. The alteration is set in such a manner that usually does not affect pets.
Lastly, there are ultraviolet ray devices. Emitting IV rays and pheromones, these devices bait mosquitoes and flies. When they land on the device, they get electrocuted. Installing any of these devices is easy. Furthermore, because the first two mentioned devices do not kill but just drive away pests, you do not have to clean up bloody messes.
